An absolutely stunning display of color in the skies over the Trexler Nature Preserve on a cool April evening. As the sunsets off to the west, the clouds are alight with brilliant tones including blue, purple, pink, orange, red, yellow and white. And every shade in between. A lone tree and a slim piece of the horizon frame the bottom of the image to provide some depth and scale amongst this huge beautiful sky.
The Trexler Nature Preserve is located in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania which itself is located in Lehigh County. Often referred to as the Greater Lehigh Valley, this area of Pennsylvania is packed with beautiful parks and natural settings. This particular image was shot from the preserve's Observation Trail, which is easily accessible from local roads.
